Meet the team

JESSICA JOOSTE

Teacher & Director (ATCL & LTCL)

My love of drama started at the age of 8 and it has been my passion ever since. I love connecting with children and witnessing them blossom into more confident individuals. I really believe in the power of this subject and it brings me joy each year to see proud parents watching their children on stage.

TAMARA BADEROON

Teacher (ATCL)

I studied at Cape Academy of Dramatic Art and did my Exams through Trinity Guildhall (London). I received my ATCL qualification in 2014 and this is when I started my teaching career. I have a passion for performing and still dabble in acting work in my spare time.

LAUREN SOLOMON

Assistant Teacher

Growing up, Speech and Drama was one of my favourite subjects which I’m currently pursuing in my studies at CADA. Teaching Speech and Drama has allowed me to share my love and joy for the subject while fostering confidence, unleashing imagination and creativity within the students.

What Parents Have to Say

My 5 yo daughter started Act it Out with Jess last year, and she loves it! Jess is great at establishing a connection with the children and encouraging self confidence, and she manages to create a warm, engaged environment of learning that kids seem to flourish in. My partner and I really enjoy getting to see renditions of what has been practiced in the class, especially the puppet shows and renditions of poems. Would highly recommend the classes as well as the holiday workshops that Jess runs.

Megan

Jessica has patience and understanding and caters to children and their own individual needs to enable them to feel comfortable and to flourish and grow at their own pace. Her continual updates and feedback are appreciated as she takes the children on a journey of increasing self confidence.

Soraya

Our daughter was a bit shy when she started school, but after Jessica's classes she seemed to have grown a lot. She seems to be a lot more confident nowadays. Would highly recommend this lovely experience for your children

Marieke

My daughter loves your class and always looks forward to Wednesdays. She recited her poems with such expression and without prompts and it blew me away! Thanks for your messages, your teaching and for giving my girl a chance to shine brighter than she always does.
